Brick columns of the fourteenth-century church

The fourteenth-century place of worship had three naves, separated by columns made of bricks.

During previous restoration work, two of the five columns separating the southern nave from the central nave had already been highlighted, and these were then incorporated into the foundations of the northern perimeter wall of the 15th-century church. The other parts of the older church building were spared from the construction site so as not to interrupt its functionality.

Recent archaeological investigations have allowed the identification of a third column, preserved to a height of 80 cm, whose base is connected to the original flooring of the church.
