Cuneo Library System - Purpose

Main objectives of the Library System:

• to spread and strengthen the public reading service in its territory;
• promote the optimal use of the existing book heritage in the System;
• raise the level of professionalism of library staff and, at the same time, improve the quality of the services provided.

Main tasks carried out by the Network Centre:

• centralized cataloguing in SBN *, an operation which allows, among other things, the dissemination of bibliographic information in online catalogues;
• the half-yearly supply of loan positions;
• consultancy for participating libraries;
• the promotion of public reading, carried out through various initiatives.
