Elio, accompanied by his band, embarks on a musical journey to rediscover sadness, a feeling that has permeated the history of art and every form of human expression—from Catullus to Virginia Woolf, from Munch to Donald Duck—and which today is often feared and repressed. Through the words and music of great artists from the Italian and international musical tradition, the show restores sadness to its most noble and necessary dimension. Because sadness, like grass peas and saffron, should be savored in small doses: when it becomes excessive, an antidote is needed. And so, between reflections and music, there are also some cheerful songs.
