BEYOND tells the story of the survivors of the disaster of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which crashed in the Andes in 1972. Of the 45 passengers, only 16 were rescued after two months at 4,000 meters in extreme cold, scarce resources, and isolation. To survive, the survivors were forced to make a choice that shocked the world: eating the bodies of the victims.
To create the show, Fabiana Iacozzilli and Linda Dalisi traveled to Montevideo and met with some of the survivors, collecting their firsthand accounts, documents, and memories to spark a reflection on the limits of humanity and the strength of bonds.
