Two great concerts to liven up the Cuneo summer

Tiromancino and Ariacorte in Taranta Night featuring Sergio Berardo, with a representation of the Grande Orchestra Occitana, will be the two events that will liven up the summer in the city of Cuneo.

Federico Zampaglione's band will bring La descrizione di un viaggio Tour25 to the stage in Piazza Galimberti on Saturday 19 July , the new live tour created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of La descrizione di un attimo , the album that brought Tiromancino to success in 2000, thanks to songs such as Due destini (a song later included in the soundtrack of Ferzan Ozpetek's film “Le fate ignoranti”), Strade (the single presented at Sanremo 2000 and awarded second place in the “new proposals” section) as well as the title track La descrizione di un attimo .

The following day, Sunday, July 20th, will feature a project specifically designed for the Cuneo square. Ariacorte, one of the most popular traditional groups in Salento, will host Lou Dalfin frontman Sergio Berardo, along with a representative of the Grande Orchestra Occitana, for a blend of the dance music of the Valli d'Oc and the Salento rhythms of the Notte della Taranta, the traveling folk music festival that culminates in the Melpignano concert, featuring nationally and internationally renowned musicians. 

"We wanted to bring music back to Piazza Galimberti," says Events Councilor Sara Tomatis , "by organizing two events for the Cuneo public. We've chosen a top-notch group like Tiromancino, who in their Cuneo performance will perform hits from one of the most influential albums in the history of Italian pop music. We've also chosen a folk music project specifically for our city, featuring the Salento band Ariacorte, accompanied by "our" Sergio Berardo, for an unmissable reimagining of the Notte della Taranta, where the traditional rhythms of Salento will be fused with the sounds of our Occitan tradition. These are two great evenings that I'm sure will be a hit with the entire Cuneo audience."

Both events, organized directly by the Municipality of Cuneo with the support of Banca di Cherasco (main sponsor), Arenaways, WeCuneo, High Power, and Lab Travel, will take place in Piazza Galimberti, with free admission.
