VENUE CHANGE for the presentation of the 2026/27 season at the Civico Teatro Toselli
Given the high number of registrations, the presentation of the 2026/2027 theatre season will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday 30 September in Sala San Giovanni – Via Roma 4 – and not in Palazzo Santa Croce – Esseci as initially communicated.
The 2026/2027 theatre season of the Toselli Theatre is being defined, a rich and varied programme that continues in the path traced in recent seasons and to which great directors, among the most original authors active today in Italy, intense performers, protagonists of both the national and international scene, not only theatre but also cinema and music, will give their personal touch.
"Artists who, we are certain," states Councilor for Culture Cristina Clerico , "will offer audiences unforgettable emotions." In planning the program, particular attention was paid to the most original productions, whose work interprets the complex present in which we live, even as they encounter and engage with great classical texts. "The artistic choices," continues Councilor for Culture Clerico , "were focused on shows that can inspire reflection on the conditions of today's world, because this must be the function of theater: a mirror of the world, a medium capable of disrupting our established habits as spectators, a tool, in its most successful embodiments, capable of providing fresh visions and unprecedented points of view. For this reason, we have favored stories that address current social issues, capable of not only entertaining the audience, but also stimulating reflection and thought. I am thinking, for example, of the theme of migration, which we have firmly established as the center of our cultural programming."
The festival, scheduled as usual thanks to the fruitful collaboration between the Department of Culture and the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo, will consist of 15 shows (including two double-date performances, for a total of 17 evenings), all of which are of the highest quality.

"The new Teatro Toselli program," concludes Councilor Clerico , "ranges between great classics with a contemporary twist, experimentation, and literary inspiration. From November to April, our main stage will host major names from the world of theater and entertainment. Thanks to the enthusiasm with which audiences have welcomed recent seasons, this year we will once again offer some double performances, further expanding the number of those who can experience the wonder of live performance. For the double dates, we have chosen productions that are particularly powerful in terms of their protagonists and cultural and social significance: Lo Zar by and with Stefano Massini and Prima del tempesta, from an idea by the greats Umberto Orsini and Massimo Popolizio, performed by the former and directed by the latter. At the end of September, in the new Esseci spaces, we will present the entire program. From now on, we can advise all theater enthusiasts and those who have not yet approached the theater to be ready for precious experiences not to be missed."
Official presentation on September 30th in Sala San Giovanni
On September 30th at 6:00 PM in Sala San Giovanni (Via Roma, 4), a press conference will be held to present the highly anticipated 2026/2027 Theatre Season, carefully crafted by the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and the Municipality of Cuneo for the Teatro Toselli. Previews include Stefano Massini, Umberto Orsini, Massimo Popolizio, and Lino Guanciale.
The event will mark the official opening of the new program, revealing in detail the richness of a program designed to engage a wide and varied audience, combining great contemporary drama, masters of the Italian scene, and proposals of the highest artistic and civic value.
The presentation on September 30th will be an unmissable opportunity to discover the entire performance calendar, season ticket options, sales options, promotions for young people, and new features for the 2026/2027 theater season.
In addition to the Piemonte dal Vivo Foundation and the Municipality of Cuneo , representatives of Dispari Teatro will also be present, who will present the Officina Santachiara theatre season and of the Egri Danza Foundation which will illustrate its dance programme.
