Cuneo Civic Library - Submission Guides
Submission Guides
The law provides for the preservation of books, pamphlets, periodicals, geographical and topographical maps, atlases, posters, and printed music in the archives of the Cuneo Civic Library.
- Documents must be deposited within sixty days of their first distribution to the public (art. 1, paragraph 1, Presidential Decree 252/2006), except for the possibility of agreeing on a cumulative deposit with the depositary institution regarding the delivery of posters, daily newspapers, and weekly, fortnightly, and monthly periodicals (art. 12, paragraph 3, Presidential Decree 252/2006).
- Documents must be delivered enclosed in a special package, either directly or by mail or any other means. The package containing the delivered documents must bear the wording "copies not for sale for legal deposit pursuant to Law No. 106 of 15 April 2004" on the outside, as well as the name, denomination, or company name, and domicile or registered office of the party required to deposit them.
- The copies delivered must be of perfect quality and identical, in form and content, to those put into circulation.
- The person required to file each document must affix the wording "non-commercial copy for legal deposit pursuant to Law No. 106 of 15 April 2004" (Art. 10 of Presidential Decree 252/2006 "Identification elements to be affixed to printed documents").
- Depositors are required to accompany their submission with a duplicate list of the submitted documents, including, for each document, the necessary identifying information (title of the monograph, title of the periodical, issue and year of the periodical, etc.). One copy of the submitted list, following the material's review, will be returned duly stamped and will constitute the deposit receipt.
