cuneocultura.it , the new thematic portal created by the Municipality of Cuneo, is online from today

The new site was created with the aim of gathering together, in a single container, the city's cultural activities and the many events organised in the municipal area, in order to offer users a comprehensive overview of what is happening in the city.

"We responded," says Councilor for Culture Cristina Clerico , "to a specific request from local cultural organizations: to give greater visibility to the various initiatives organized in Cuneo. For this reason, we began with the idea of ​​giving as much prominence as possible to the events section, which gathers everything happening in the city. Therefore, in addition to our organization's initiatives, you can also find the cultural offerings that various organizations offer and that enrich Cuneo."

The new portal, right from the homepage, gives ample space to city events, opening with a section highlighting the most important ones. Immediately below this is another selection of "highlighted" events, followed by a section showcasing the city's various cultural venues, such as libraries, museums, the Toselli Theater, and the Monviso Cinema.

The horizontal menu, present on every page of the portal, allows you to easily navigate within the individual tabs dedicated to the city's cultural spaces, as well as providing links to the Events section and news.

But the true heart of the portal is the Events section, which allows you to view all the cultural offerings scheduled in the city. This is divided into three further subsections:

• Reviews: where the next reviews organized in the city are listed, with all the related events
• Events Calendar: where you can find individual events, arranged chronologically
• Event Archive: Where you can find past events

Furthermore, to allow for an easier search for the initiatives that best meet users' tastes, the events calendar can be filtered by series, by type of event (e.g. literature, workshops, films, music, etc.) and by tags, i.e. labels that characterize the individual event (e.g. Born to Read, Culture 0-6, The Library Hosts, etc.).

"The portal," Councilor Clerico , "will therefore feature the Municipality's cultural events, such as the activities of the two civic museums and libraries, exhibitions held in municipal spaces, the programming of the Cinema Monviso, the Toselli theater season, literary festivals such as Scrittorincittà, and other high-profile cultural projects. These events will be complemented by initiatives organized by institutional partners or cultural associations active in the municipality. In this way, we believe we have managed to provide a concrete response to the requests of the city's cultural organizations and the many enthusiasts and curious people who have asked how to stay informed about what's happening in the city."

Mayor Patrizia Manassero: "The portal will be a useful and interesting resource, and I'm sure we'll be amazed by the wealth of initiatives and offerings we have in the city. I invite everyone to explore this new digital space to more fully experience the cultural spaces and events in Cuneo. Through greater and easier digital sharing of information, culture itself will grow. I want to thank those who have worked so hard to get to this much-needed moment."

The portal will be managed by the various municipal offices responsible for culture, under the direction of the Communications Office.

The creation of the new portal was entrusted to the Alba-based visual agency Hellobarrio, which also designed a new logo that will serve to better characterize the cultural initiatives organized in the city.

“Everything is based on the history and heritage of the place: it represents culture for both Cuneo residents and visitors. The branding proposal is based on a new positioning for the city: diversity, change, and organization. The visual language aims to express the essence of Cuneo, allowing it to better express its cultural status and communicate with the public through multiple channels. Based on a graphic grid that represents the city's characteristics, namely the wedge, it is inspired by the architecture and expressive language of the letter "C" to create an iconic, versatile, and contemporary identity,” explains Andrea Viberti, Founder and Art Director of Hellobarrio.

"Our goal," concludes Councilor for Innovation Andrea Girard , "is to make Cuneo an increasingly smart city, and we are gradually making progress. The new portal is, in fact, another piece of the "revolution" underway in the municipal web universe, conceived as a galaxy where the main site, which will be launched by the end of 2025, is enriched by a series of "satellite sites," capable of expanding and more effectively disseminating the extraordinary offering of events and initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Cuneo. In recent months, numerous technological innovations have been introduced in the city, from illuminated totems near bus stops to the app for reporting service disruptions (Municipium), to digital facilitators who help citizens experiencing difficulties use digital services, providing concrete support. The digitalization process we have undertaken is not yet complete, but we have made great strides. The path has been mapped out, and we are ready to follow it, taking into account the needs of today, but also, and above all, those of tomorrow."
