Culture 0/6 Birth celebration

Library 0-18 Program

Our program in a nutshell

The Birth Celebration is an opportunity for co-planning that involves many different organizations that work every day with ZeroSei families to build more aware, sustainable, and inclusive communities.

Archipelago of culture

An archipelago of stories, imagination, and shared discovery. Cultural organizations have jointly created a space where families and children can slow down, listen, observe, and create together, rediscovering the pleasure of connecting. Readings, theater, music, art, and nature intertwine in a shared program that emphasizes active family participation and the creation of shared experiences.

Participating institutions:
Cuneo Library 0–18, with ABL, Friends of Libraries and Reading ODV, Dispari Theatre, Civic Museums of Cuneo, Diocesan Museum, Noau Cultural Workshop, City of Cuneo Choral Society, Gesso and Stura River Park.

Fishing for History will accompany the entire day like a great collective narrative relay. In a dedicated space, families will find four chests containing key words divided into categories—characters, actions, objects , and sounds— and, following simple instructions, they will be invited to draw one word from each category and add a new phrase to a constantly evolving shared story. Each family will thus become part of a collective tale slowly built, meeting after meeting, leaving a personal mark within a shared narrative. An experience that values imagination, mutual listening, and collaboration between generations.

Take the time to stop, listen, and create together: every story is born from encounters with others.

Community Archipelago

Being together also means building bonds. The archipelago community has envisioned a shared space where different materials, languages, and experiences can intertwine to create a collective work of participation, collaboration, and mutual understanding. A place where families, children, and adults can stop, meet, and contribute together to something common.

Member organizations
: CSAC – Cuneo Social Assistance Consortium, Mondo Doula Association, Life Help Center Association, Fiordaliso Cooperative, Emmanuele Cooperative, Proposta 80 Cooperative, Momo Cooperative, Famiglie in Cerchio Group, Chioccole Sonore.

Building Connections invites families to create small symbolic elements using paper, fabric, wool, and other materials, which will then be left in the common area to form a large collective mandala. Following simple instructions, each participant can freely contribute to the creation of the final work, transforming small individual gestures into a shared network of relationships. The experience values unhurried collaboration, spontaneous collaboration, and a sense of belonging to a community that grows through encounters.

Stop, weave, build: every small contribution can become part of something bigger.

Health Archipelago

Caring requires time, listening, and closeness. The health archipelago organizations have jointly designed activities that focus on well-being, connection, and relationships between adults and children, creating opportunities for discussion and discovery for parents, future parents, and families with children. In this space, time slows down to make room for the daily gestures of care, listening to the body, and building emotional bonds.

Participating institutions
: AO Santa Croce and Carle, ASL CN1, LILT, Oasi Ostetriche, Studio Albero Blu.

Contact offers a sensory and participatory experience dedicated to the gestures of daily care. In a space decorated with dolls and materials dedicated to newborn care, families can draw cards with activities, questions, or small gestures to try together: from massage to care, from nurturing to wellness rituals. If they have any questions or concerns, families will be invited to speak directly with the professionals present at the stands throughout the archipelago. A simple yet powerful experience, designed to rediscover the value of contact, slowness, and mutual presence in the relationship between parents and children.

Allow yourself some space to listen and be close; sometimes a slow gesture is enough to create a deep connection.

Education Archipelago

A slow time to spend together, explore, and grow. The educational archipelago organizations have created a shared space dedicated to fostering relationships between adults and children through play, unstructured materials, sensory exploration, and creativity. The activities offered invite families to enjoy simple yet profound experiences, where the process matters more than the end result, and shared time becomes an opportunity for mutual discovery.

Participating Institutions:
IC Oltrestura, IC Viale Angeli, IC Via Sobrero, Municipal Nurseries/Sodexo, Coop. Monviso – L'Isola dei Tesori, Istituto Fiore/ABE, Insieme a Voi/Tafacroni, Brillo e Balillo, TA Galimberti Nursery School, “Caniugi Autretti” Nursery School, Cattolica ETS Nursery School.

Traces and Relationships offers two large experiential stations designed for different age groups: for the youngest children, wooden chalkboards shaped on the floor for free-form drawing; for older children, low tables for creating mandalas using chalk and colored gravel. Alongside the creative activities, there will also be olfactory and sensory experiences curated by the educational services. Here, time truly slows down: it's not about taking home an object, but about living in the here and now together, experiencing the pleasure of connection, listening, and shared discovery through play and creativity.

Let yourselves be guided by curiosity and shared time: learning together is the first step to growing together.
