In 2026, the Compagnia La Calzamaglia celebrates a significant milestone: 20 consecutive years of activity since its "restart," continuing a theatrical legacy that in San Pietro del Gallo has its roots in the early 20th century, when our grandparents graced the stage at the Casa Pascal d'Illonza theater. Over the years, many "native" actors have nurtured this passion, eventually giving the group the name that still accompanies it today. From there, a new journey began, one of commitment, friendship, and, above all, Piedmontese dialect theater, capable of making people laugh and making them laugh.
To celebrate the anniversary, the company is staging "Che bel mësté fé 'l giardiné," a brilliant and captivating comedy. The protagonist is Sergio Palmucci, a civil servant with an orderly and seemingly peaceful existence, who, however, harbors a secret ambition: to make the leap in his career. Convinced that a small favor could pave the way, he arranges a very private meeting in the apartment of his mother, who is temporarily absent.
But what was supposed to be a discreet rendezvous quickly turns into a whirlwind of misunderstandings, unexpected visitors, and increasingly tangled situations. Between doors opening at the wrong time, unlikely excuses, and suspicious coincidences, Sergio desperately tries to maintain control as everything spirals out of control.
The result is a lively story, rich in pace and twists, promising endless laughs and, between one joke and another, inviting a lighthearted reflection on the meaning of true ambition.
