Cuneo vualÀ
The thirteenth edition of "CuneoVualà" kicks off on Saturday, October 18th. This exhibition showcases never-before-seen or little-known travelogues of extraordinary drawings on the theme "The Notebook of Villages. Lost, Abandoned, Never Inhabited and Imagined." The exhibition will remain open until Sunday, November 16th, with the following hours: Thursday to Sunday, 3:30–6:30 PM (Fondazione Peano, C.so Francia 47, Cuneo).

"The Notebook of Villages. Lost, Abandoned, Never Inhabited or Imagined,"an exhibition of sketches, illustrations, pages, and plates dedicated to all those notebooks created in marginalized areas, places far removed from the aesthetic standards of tourism but important to the people who inhabit them, even if they are "ugly." A polycentricity of lived-in places with some particular characteristics: abandonment due to depopulation or various causes, such as earthquakes. Then there are other conditions that make places around the world prey to abandonment, when they cease to be safe and are transformed into lost settlements, tormented by conflicts that distance them from any path to knowledge.
The Sala Soprana of the Peano Foundation also hosts a solo exhibition by a prominent professional artist and master of the unique art form of the travel journal, crafted with nibs and ink. For this 2025 edition, the Peano Foundation is honored to present "Jet Lag," a new exhibition by Venetian travel journalist Barnaba Salvador , featuring a visual connection between the many notebooks he created on the African continent and the blow-ups and individual pages of the journals. Details of the people, animals, and objects encountered will be placed in close proximity, creating a sense of wonder and new sensations.
