Touch Up
In the society of the fourth industrial revolution, there is only one true commandment: productivity. In a world where the frenetic pace of the machine dictates time and development becomes the star to aspire to, is it possible to remain human? Thrown into an apathetic and aseptic contemporary world, a group of people tries to preserve the relationships they have created and not bend to the obsessive demands of the new world 4.0. Walking the fine line of choice, this small community will decide to transform the touch that allowed intimate contact with the Other into a re-touch, an act of autonomous modification that leads subjects to "reduce themselves to a thing" to match the rhythms of the machine. If it is true that we recognize ourselves only in the eyes of others, what is the limit to which we can go without losing ourselves completely? The oppression of the assembly line becomes the boundary between me and the person in front of me.
