Harlequin, penniless, cultivates the ambition of marrying the King's daughter, who, naturally, wants her to marry a handsome and intelligent man, provided he's also rich. So Harlequin goes into business, selling what he's always received: a "sound" beating! An honest businessman, he will give to each his due, teaching everyone not to do to others what they wouldn't want done to them.
