The essence of life
In the exhibition halls of Palazzo Santa Croce in Cuneo from January 18 to February 23, 2025.
Art has always been a universal means of communication, through visual expression that transcends language barriers. In this historical moment, there is more need than ever to nourish the soul with the joyful emotions of love, which is the essence of our existence. This is why the two cultural associations "Art en ciel" and "L'Arte incontra..." have brought together their artists in a project curated by Fernanda Prudenzano and Nikolinka Nikolova and under the patronage of the Municipality of Cuneo , which gave rise to the exhibition "The Essence of Life . " Nature, History, and Mystery will be the protagonists of the exhibition, featuring works by 22 local, national, and international artists, ranging from painting, fiber art, ceramics, experimental material art, and digital art: Marilisa Serra, Alessandra Vinotto, Daniela Casadidio, Mary Christine Stenger, Luciano Valensin, Andrea Lo Faro, Adriana Cernei, Fausto Zanni, Claudia Pinton, Lavinia La Torre, Nikolinka Nikolova, Egidio Giulberga, Ada Perona, Lorenzo Caula, Luciana Audisio, Maria Cavallo, Ornella Pozzetti, Fernanda Prudenzano, Silvio Papale, Maria Rosa Palma, Michelina Serale, and Assunta Mellano.
Along with their works, sculptures by eight wooden artists from the "La Foresta di Sherwood" Association will also be exhibited : Ivo Massardo, Andrea Gamba, Giancarlo Amberti, Giuliana Fassini, Alberto Arato, Felice Rosa Marin, Silvia Crusco, and Pietro Carlo Avattaneo.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday, January 18th at 5:00 pm in the presence of authorities and guests from the world of culture.
During the exhibition period, various collateral events will take place in the same rooms of Palazzo Santa Croce. Erica Comoglio , Literary Director of the "L'Arte incontra" Association, television presenter and moderator at the Circolo dei Lettori in Turin, will present two volumes: "Between Heaven and Earth in the Colored Waves of Creation" by Nikolinka Nikolova on Saturday, January 25th at 5:00 pm ; and "A radici nude" by writer Cristina Converso on Saturday, February 1st at 5:00 pm . Additionally, on Saturday, February 8th and Sunday, February 9th at 4:00 pm, DEMO watercolor performances with Ada Perona and Luciana Audisio will be held . On Saturday, February 15th at 5:00 pm, Danilo Tacchino , writer and historical researcher, will give a lecture entitled "Mysteries in the History of Piedmont. From the Myths of Its Ancient Peoples to the Discreet Particularities of Its Current Inhabitants."
Finally, on Sunday, February 23rd at 5:00 pm, the public will be able to meet the sculptors of the “La Foresta di Sherwood” in an event entitled “The Transmutation of the Finite Existence of a Tree into a Sculpture.”
INFORMATION
The exhibition will take place in the exhibition rooms of Palazzo Santa Croce in Via Santa Croce, 6 in Cuneo and will be open to the public from Saturday 18 January to Sunday 23 February 2025 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm.
