Ten Years of Civil Unions: A Meeting on Rights and Inclusion
2026 marks the tenth anniversary of the approval of Law No. 76/2016, which introduced civil unions in Italy, marking a historic step towards the recognition of rights and equality between people.
To celebrate this important anniversary, the Municipality of Cuneo , through the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Office and scrittorincittà, is promoting a public meeting dedicated not only to civil union couples, but to all citizens. The aim is to foster discussion and reflection on the progress made and future prospects for civil rights and equality.
The initiative will feature two key guests: linguist, essayist, and rights and inclusion activist Vera Gheno and professor of comparative public law at the University of Turin Mia Caielli . Moderated by Luca Prestia, they will offer their analysis and insights on the topic.
The event, with free admission, will be held onThursday 4 June at 6.00 pm in the municipal Hall of Honour, on the first floor of the Town Hall in Via Roma 28.
