Cuneo hosts the fifth edition of Itinerari, the event promoted by the Zaratan collective that explores the possibility of imagining and practicing a radical transformation of the present. The event begins with a question that concerns imagination even before action: what space is left today for the idea of radical change, while the present order appears increasingly difficult to conceive of as something that can take on a different form? The event includes four events in the fall, two in October (21st and 28th) and two in November.

Free admission, reservations recommended.

Can we still talk about revolution? This question launches the fifth edition of Itinerari, the series of meetings promoted by the Zaratan collective. In 2026, the series will address a term steeped in history, expectations, and contradictions, questioning its meaning in the present and examining some of the political and social experiences through which, in different parts of the world, a generation is returning to public space to challenge existing balances. "Revolution, Today!" builds a journey through cinema, history, journalism, and international current affairs, moving from Mark Fisher's reflections on the contemporary difficulty of conceiving a different future to the youth mobilizations of South Asia, through the dilemmas of political struggle, resistance, and the forms of social transformation. The series begins with a question that concerns imagination even before action: what space is left today for the idea of radical change, while the present order appears increasingly difficult to conceive of as something that can take on a different form?

The preview of Itineraries 2026 took place on July 4th as part of the Zoé festival in the city, with a talk by Davide Grasso dedicated to the experience of democratic confederalism in Rojava. Themain itinerary will come to fruition this fall, with four events hosted at the Cinema Monviso and the ESSECI Sclab in Palazzo Santa Croce. It begins on Wednesday, October 21st at 8:45 pm at the Cinema Monviso in Cuneo with the screening of We Are Making a Film About Mark Fisher, directed by Sophie Mellor and Simon Poulter of the Close and Remote Collective, with an introduction by director and cultural operator Fabio Ferrero. The 65-minute film explores the thought of Mark Fisher, author of "Capitalist Realism," using a hybrid form that intertwines documentary, performance, and a narrative dimension inspired by hauntology, focusing on his reflections on capitalism, culture, and the difficulty of imagining the future. The evening will also feature the presentation of "Dispatches from the Resistance Front," a publishing project by Guido Tonini, a gamezine that combines a paper magazine with interactive digital content, offering an underground publication set in a dystopian future. Admission is free with a donation.

On Wednesday, October 28, at 8:45 PM, at the ESSECI Sclab in Palazzo Santa Croce, historian and writer Carlo Greppi, moderated by Gigi Garelli, will address a question that runs through the history of revolutions and resistance: Is revolution a gala dinner or not? Greppi will compare different historical experiences to examine the ways in which movements, uprisings, and protests have attempted to transform political and social structures. He will also examine the means of transformation and the consequences of various choices, from armed struggle to peaceful strategies. Greppi's most recent publications include A Man of Few Words: The Story of Lorenzo, Who Saved Primo, Stories That Don't Make History, An International History of the Italian Resistance, edited with Chiara Colombini, and My Daughter: The Life of Franca Jarach, Disappeared.
