Sky / Water
The Sky / Water exhibition , featuring recent works by the artist Domenico Olivero , opens on Thursday 5 February at the Cuneo Civic Library
This is a new series of works on the theme of transcendence, matter, spirit and contemplation, in which the colour blue refers to water and the sky.
This exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in the essence of blue, the color that defines the boundaries of our world and, at the same time, their absence. Inspired by the primordial elements of water and sky, the exhibition explores blue not only as a pigment, but as a dimension of the soul.
A series of paintings that, in minimalist elaborations, share the vital energy of this iconic color. Blue, the color of the infinite sky and the ocean, evokes calm, mystery, and vastness, reflecting the transparency of water, which absorbs warm wavelengths and, as it evaporates, diffuses its azure into space, creating serene or majestic atmospheres, an invitation to explore the inner depths and infinite possibilities of the cosmos.
Domenico Olivero, one of the most experimental and innovative artists on the art scene, has created a complex poetics that, starting from the everyday dimension, develops various research in unusual fields, such as popular history, spiritual traditions and aesthetic research.
