What is war? What is an idiot?
What if war were life itself?
What if we were the idiots?

Since 2022, our Western world has suddenly found itself immersed in a war scenario that until then seemed impossible and, if anything, relegated to the media, which recorded events in geographical regions in which we were not involved. The danger of falling directly into tragedy once again became clear to our sleepy eyes. From this ominous Pandora's box, we have finally become aware of the widespread and disparate nature of the multitude of heated situations scattered around the world.
More subtle and creeping wars have been added to those traditionally mentioned, through the unregulated use of powerful technological means. The risk is the challenge to the concept of humanity, while they alter people's critical capacity and inculcate repetitive and obsessive, violent and prepackaged patterns: Idiots, indeed, from an ancient etymology that primarily indicates a cultural void.
And then there are the personal battles that each of us faces every day, those with others and those with ourselves, immersed in this demanding game called life.
We asked our HARtists to reflect on these topics. The images in the exhibition are the fruit of their singular, profound exploration of these pressing themes, so that every member of the audience can find their own connection.
The exhibition is enriched, as a corollary, by prestigious works by Corrado Odifreddi, Cesare Botto, Ober Bondi, Antonella Lingua, Irene Botto, and Paola Garro.
