Selme
The artistic project "Selme – My Emotions Expand", presented for the first time in 2023 at the ancient spaces of Palazzo Sarriod de la Tour in Costigliole Saluzzo, is now developing into a new phase that will be visible from Saturday, March 8, vernissage at 11:00 a.m., in the hall of honor of the Civic Library of Cuneo.
Over the past two years, the artist Domenico Olivero has further developed his action painting “Selme” through a transformation of its energetic meaning, reconsidering it primarily through a series of reflections born from readings of the texts of the Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti, known for having dissolved the experimental school of the Theosophical Society established by the Russian psychic Helena Petrovna Blavatsky at the end of the nineteenth century and for having developed a new way of approaching the perception of reality.
Taking inspiration from the phrase “The search for reality requires immense energy,” the artist has given expressive body to his pictorial sign through an expansion of the energetic gesture, which now grows and takes on ever greater elaboration and form in the various canvases proposed.
In the expressive sphere, the artist therefore chooses to expand her physical movement, always operating within her energetic sphere. Human gesture, arising from the conscious mind, creates an action that develops and transforms the forces of the present.
