On Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m., the Casa del Fiume garden in Cuneowill host the talk "Imagining the Future Through the Power of Utopia." The event is part of the 2026 edition of the Living Room artist residency program, organized and promoted by the Art.ur association, which annually invites Italian and international artists to experience the Cuneo area. The event will feature artists-in-residence Matteo Attruia, Federica Di Carlo, Giulia Poppi, and Lihi Turjeman, along with Elisa Piras and Jenny Ufer, researchers at the Center for Advanced Studies at Eurac Research; Alessandro Scali, Creative Researcher and AI Educator; and curator Andrea Lerda. Free admission.
Conceived as a moment of informal discussion—during which the voices of art and applied and theoretical research will be brought into dialogue—the conversation will be an opportunity to reflect on the role of utopia as a tool for reimagining the world to come. In light of contemporary global challenges and a time of multiple crises, being guided by utopian imaginaries can represent an opportunity to expand the individual and collective imagination. The visions of artists, along with the research of scholars, are the foundation of the creativity necessary to materialize what we desire for a better future.
