Lights on Giolitti: A Dialogue on Modernity

"Lights on Giolitti: A Dialogue on Modernity" is the inaugural event of the "Lights on Giolitti" project, promoted by the "Nuovo Corso Giolitti" Association and created with the goal of revitalizing Corso Giolitti and enhancing its historical and symbolic heritage.
Corso Giolitti, the heart of Cuneo and a strategic axis connecting the station, the Movicentro, and the city center, today represents a challenge and an opportunity for urban, cultural, and social regeneration. The conference aims to be a moment of reflection and dialogue on these issues, starting with the figure of Giovanni Giolitti, the Cuneo statesman after whom the Corso has been named since 1952.
The first part of the conference will be a historical exposition of Giolitti and the Giolitti era, marked by profound social, economic, and cultural changes comparable to the current historical period, offering extraordinary insights for interpreting our present. A roundtable discussion will follow with representatives of the production categories, where the insights offered in the first part will look to the future of the Course to explore parallels and future visions, starting from a place that wants to return to prominence.
