KNOWING THE FLAVORS. The hazelnut

The "Tonda e Gentile" (Round and Gentle) of the Langhe is more than just a fruit, but the soul of a unique landscape.
The fourth event in the "Sapere i Sapori" (Savoring Flavors) series takes us through the hills of the Alta Langa to celebrate the hazelnut, a pillar of our rural economy and a symbol of our cultural identity.
We often think of it merely as a confectionery ingredient, but what makes our hazelnut a world-class delicacy? Together with professors from the University of Turin's DiSAFA (Food and Agriculture Faculty) department, we will explore the sensory characteristics and health benefits of this local "superfood." We will analyze the inseparable link between product quality and the care of the agricultural landscape, discovering how scientific research helps preserve a heritage that the FAI is committed to protecting. This event will teach us how to distinguish true quality and become more attentive and informed consumers.
Under the patronage of: Municipality of Cuneo
In collaboration with: DiSAFA (Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences of the University of Turin)
With the contribution of: CRC Foundation.

Entrance fee: Contribution starting from €10.00 (FAI members €8.00) entirely donated to FAI to support the protection and preservation of our country's artistic and natural heritage.
