On Saturday, July 25th , at 8:30 pm, the show Jack La Cayenne and Gelsomina – The Two Aces of Rock & Roll: Michele Celeste's CineRacconto will take place at the Varco space in Cuneo. The show retraces the stage, television, and film careers of Jack La Cayenne and Gelsomina.

Admission is free.

The Rubber Man or the Cup-Eater, as Jack La Cayenne, aka Alberto Longoni, was nicknamed by television audiences, performed in Cuneo in 1980 at the height of his television and film success. After more than forty years, the gags of the Milanese performer, who turned eighty-nine today, are once again making audiences smile, this time with a new format devised by actor Michele Celeste: the CineRacconto. The event was organized by the musical group The Beat Circus, who will perform during the evening. Rock and roll dancers will also be on the dance floor to pay homage to the pioneers of the genre, who revolutionized Italian and international culture: Jack La Cayenne and Gelsomina. The evening's guest will be Vanna Revelli (Gelsomina) from Turin, a rock and roll champion at the age of sixteen. From the late 1950s to the 1960s, she performed around the world with La Cayenne, before continuing her career as a solo singer and actress in Greece, where she also owned prestigious clubs and discos. The evening will open with CineRacconto, a format created by Michele Celeste, an actor, director, and playwright, whose concept combines cinematic storytelling with that told by an actor present on stage. Michele Celeste is the narrator of La Cayenne, who, through videos taken from television shows, newsreels, films, and photographs, will guide us on a passionate and engaging journey through Italy from the 1950s to the early 1970s; a period characterized by post-war reconstruction, the sudden change in customs marked by the advent of rock and roll, and the economic boom. The CineRacconto is based on the book "Jack La Cayenne-

"The Amazing Performances of the Rubber Man," written by Michele Celeste, published by Borè on behalf of the arthouse theater La Condotta Edizioni Indipendenti. The CineRacconto and the volume have already been presented in Milan and Rome. The event in the capital was sponsored and organized by the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and the Cineteca Nazionale.
