From citadels to landscapes of light
As part of the "OMG – grandArte 2025-2026 – The Boundaries of the Sacred" exhibition, the Arte+ Gallery in Cuneo (Via Chiusa Pesio, 8) will host the exhibition "From Citadels to Landscapes of Light," a tribute to Livio Politano (1937-2025) from September 11 to 27, 2026.
The exhibition is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free.
Politano, born in Beinette in 1937, began his artistic career in the 1950s, frequenting the studio of master Filippo Scroppo in Turin and following the mid-twentieth-century movements of Menzio, Paulucci, Calandri, and Galvano. His exhibitions, from 1964 until 2022, have consistently focused on chromatic uniqueness and harmonious beauty.
The exhibition, comprising approximately 30 works, offers a snapshot of the Beinette-born painter's art, showcasing the themes that have characterized his long career: from figurative landscape to geometric abstraction, from surrealism to the metaphysical period.
