From Thursday, July 24th to Saturday, July 26th, the Ghedini Conservatory in Cuneo will host ElettroClass, the first event in the world entirely dedicated to the electric and electroacoustic harp, designed to offer the opportunity to learn or deepen your understanding of this ever-evolving genre.
Over the four days, lessons at various levels will be held by highly experienced instructors, including our METS Department professors Gianluca Verlingieri and Fabrizio Barale. There will also be the opportunity to discover the extraordinary acoustics of this genre thanks to the performances of some of the festival's special guests: Amy Turk, Milana Zarić, and Vanja Contu. The three artists will perform in concerts open to the public with free admission on the following evenings: Thursday, July 24th , Milana Zarić , at 9 pm in the cloister of the Monumental Complex of San Francesco. An internationally renowned artist specializing in contemporary electroacoustic and improvisational repertoire. Friday, July 25th , Amy Turk , at 9 pm at Open Baladin. Known for her innovative harp and percussion techniques. Saturday, July 26th , Vanja Contu , at 9 pm in the "Mosca" room of the Ghedini Conservatory. An experimental harpist exploring the technical, expressive, and electronic potential of the instrument. As in the previous two editions of the event, she will perform world premieres of compositions specially created by students and faculty from the METS Department, the result of a residency at the Cuneo Conservatory.
