Costard
The desire to create "Costard" stems from encounters with women and men who experience the world of elegant clothing daily, and from a reflection on social representations and the image of success it embodies. But does the man make the clothing, or does the clothing define the individual? A symbol of a certain cultural elite, clothing embodies diverse identities, stories, and journeys. "Costard" explores the relationship between identity and appearance, placing costume at the center as a living material, capable of interacting with movement and transforming with it. The show questions the image of contemporary urban dance, bringing together the world of hip-hop and that of elegant clothing. From this contrast arises a new body language, in which the power of street dance merges with the elegance of the body, giving rise to fluid and poetic gestures.
