Correlation
In the wake of the success achieved with the exhibition “What happened to Lilith?” presented in December 2024, in which we wanted to tell, in different ways, the story of today's female figure, we felt the need to give a sense of continuity to the Project, underlining the importance of mutual respect in the relationship between women and men, the common thread of the events linked to the date ofMarch 8, 2025.
The idea of giving the project a title was born: "CorRelazione," a play on words that highlights how the only possible solution is reciprocity between the parties. This is the only way to build a renewed society together, respecting the dignity of each individual, within the context of life experiences.
Both men and women face challenges stemming from stereotypes and rigid roles, albeit in different ways. The patriarchal culture, still so widespread, fuels gender-based violence and impedes the healthy expression of emotions. This creates imbalances in relationships and hinders equal and authentic communication.
We must note how, in the events related to March 8th, historically, only women have spoken for women, as if it were a problem of exclusively female sharing and not the result of a deviant culture.
It's important to create a cross-fertilization effort where respect for gender diversity becomes a sign of shared commitment. Special attention must be paid to educating young people in this regard, teaching them respect for the other gender from an early age.
It's important to talk about affectivity to bring about the cultural change that is still struggling to emerge.
