This exhibition, promoted by the Fondazione CRC and Intesa Sanpaolo, offers a unique insight into the representation of the urban landscapes of Rome and Venice in the 18th century through the works of three masters of the view—Giovanni Antonio Canaletto, Gaspar Van Wittel, and Bernardo Bellotto—alongside those of Giovanni Paolo Pannini.
The twelve masterpieces on display, from the National Galleries of Ancient Art in Rome, explore and reinvent the image of cities in the era of the Grand Tour and enlightened cultural environments.
