The exhibition project, titled Art Regenerates Art. Artists for Bernard Damiano and Beppe Viada, hosted in the cloister of the New Bishopric (formerly Seminary) of Cuneo from 10 October to 29 November 2026, was created with the aim of helping support the structural safety works of the Parish Church of Sancto Lucìo de Coumboscuro through the liberal donation to the parish of around sixty works of painting, graphic design, sculpture, and photography by artists active in the Province of Cuneo and the Aosta Valley, also including nine paintings by the well-known Italian-French painter and sculptor Bernard Damiano (Saretto di Monterosso Grana/Cn, 1926 – Nice/France, 2000) and a sculpture by Beppe Viada (Cuneo, 1935 – 2005). Over time, Damiano and Viada have enriched the Parish Church of Coumboscuro's collection of 17th- and 18th-century Baroque paintings, furnishings, and art objects: Damiano, with his four panels depicting Stories from the Life of Saint Lucy, the fourteen Stations of the Cross, and above all the Crist sagnànt, a wooden Crucifix of exasperated yet heroic expressive realism; Viada, with his fourteen wooden statues depicting specific moments of Marian devotion and the life of Jesus. Not to be forgotten, outside the church, is the Crist doulourous by the artist and poet Peire Rous (Monterosso Grana/Cn, 1947–1985).
