Art and sharing

The second "Art and Sharing" exhibition has opened: 20th-century landscapes on display at the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce. The exhibition opens October 1st in the Salone del Futuro and the Spazio Impresa of the building at Via Emanuele Filiberto 3 and will remain open until March 2026. Admission is free during the Chamber's opening days and hours.

This new edition presents a selection of landscapes by some of Cuneo's most important twentieth-century painters, offering the public a visual journey that narrates the region through the eyes of the artists who depicted it. The exhibition is part of the broader "Art and Sharing" project, launched in 2024 with the signing of an agreement between the Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce. Its aim is to enhance the city's artistic heritage and bring art closer to everyday places, including through exhibitions in non-traditional museum settings. This new exhibition continues this journey with a carefully selected selection of landscape works, which enrich the Chamber of Commerce's spaces, making them a meeting place for business, citizenship, and culture. Carlo Gaudina's Spring Idyll opens this selection chronologically with a depiction of an exterior in light but bold colors, a moment of celebration during the beautiful, verdant season, animated by smiling people. Two canvases depict marine environments: Paolo Marsanasco's "Estate," which translates a sun-drenched seaside village into deliberately impalpable forms, and Giuseppe Sacheri's "Visione di mare," which features the white, gray, and blue roar of the waves in a striking foreground. Federico Argentero's intense, autumnal colors in "Vineyard in Bonvicino" evoke the local food and wine flavors, and Marco Lattes' "Borgo rurale innevato" (Snow-Covered Rural Village) portrays the rural landscape of the Cuneo province, without defining a specific location but rather evoking the scene's similarities to many of the region's villages. Autumn, with water as its protagonist, is again celebrated by Lassone in " Paesaggio autunno con rill" (Autumnal Landscape with Stream). Finally, a powerful and poignant meaning is suggested by Dario Treves in his famous "Cuneo brucia ancora" (Cuneo Burns Again), which depicts one of the most compelling views of the capital.
