SYNESTHESIA
SINESTESIE is an innovative cross-border project aimed at promoting the professionalization of musicians while renewing the classical music audience. Beyond simple meetings, training courses, and concerts, the goal is to create a reproducible methodology and cultural format capable of removing the barriers that keep families with children, especially those with disabilities, away from this discipline. The SINESTESIE brand was created specifically to structure and sustain this approach.
The project draws on the experience of the City of Cuneo and its partnership with the Jeux d'Anches in Manosque, recognized for its work with young people, and in collaboration with the Ghedini Conservatory of Cuneo. Together, they are designing a program of concerts in atypical and accessible venues to offer a more informal and inclusive experience.
From September 30 to October 3, 2026, French and Italian musicians will hold masterclasses for Conservatory students and three concerts open to families in the Cloister of the Monumental Complex of San Francesco and in the Sala San Giovanni (programme still being finalized).
SYNESTHESES is the juxtaposition of two apparently opposite experiences: classical music and family audiences.
Presenting classical music in an informal setting, outside of traditional venues perceived as rigid and “unsuitable” for young children, helps break down prejudices linked to the formality of the sector, making the experience more accessible and inclusive.
SINESTESIE aims to plant a seed in the very young generations, so that classical music is increasingly considered something natural.
