Description of functions

The Cuneo Civic Library is located in the seventeenth-century Palazzo Audiffredi, in the historic center of the capital of the Granda region.

It is the oldest civic library in Piedmont; the first documents relating to its institution date back to 1802, with its opening in 1803, when Cuneo, under French domination, was the capital of the Stura Department.

In its various locations it holds 300,000 volumes, records 50,000 loans per year, manages the Legal Deposit, hosts numerous events, including book presentations and exhibitions, and edits several publications.

It is the Network Centre of the Cuneo Library System.
