On the occasion of International Women's Day, on Sunday 8 March, the Casa Galimberti Museum is offering two thematic guided tours entitled Walking side by side: stories of courage and freedom, scheduled for 3.30 pm and 5.00 pm.

The tour will begin at the law firm, a symbolic place in the family's civil and political history, with a discussion of Duccio Galimberti's partisan struggle, beginning with his famous speech on July 26, 1943. The tour will highlight the courage and determination with which Galimberti chose to oppose Nazism and Fascism, becoming one of the most significant figures of the Italian Resistance.

The tour will continue through the other rooms of the house, where each room will tell the stories of several women who, during the Resistance, fought for freedom with boldness and extraordinary determination, often paying with their lives for the strength of their ideas.

A story told by two voices, male and female, that will accompany the public on a discovery of the lives of Duccio Galimberti, Maria Luisa Alessi, Paola Garelli and Lidia Rolfi Beccaria, through the reading of some short testimonies that they left us and which still today convey the strength of their choices.

The visit is an invitation to reread the history of the Resistance as a shared journey of responsibility, sacrifice, and civic commitment, in which men and women fought side by side for a shared ideal of freedom and justice.

The event is part of the "March 8th is all year round – Paripasso" series promoted by the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Office of the Municipality of Cuneo.
