WAITING FOR THE FLOWER DISPLAY

For several weeks, we've been anticipating the most important event of the year: the solemn procession of the Madonna del Carmine. Help us prepare for the celebration!
Throughout the day, wonderful flower petal mosaics dedicated to the theme of Peace will be created in the Mondovì district and on Via Roma, paying homage to the passing of the statue of the Madonna del Carmine during the evening procession. Volunteers will create them, but we'd love everyone to participate in this special moment!
The activities will be coordinated by members of the Madonna del Carmine Celebration Committee, along with members of the Confraternity of Santa Maria del Suffragio and San Filippo Neri of Sassello, with the help of art volunteers.

The Solemn Procession of the Madonna del Carmine will begin at 8:30 pm from the church of the Confraternity of San Sebastiano in the Mondovì district. Over 40 Italian and foreign confraternities are expected to participate. As the Madonna del Carmine passes, rose petals will be thrown from balconies and windows, adorned with red drapes, along the procession, which will then, as per tradition, continue along the illuminated Via Roma.

PRACTICAL INFO:
The event is open to all; children must be accompanied by an adult. The activity is free, but reservations are optional (it may be useful to contact you in case of program changes).

We'll work with flower petals and soil to create beautiful designs. Appropriate clothing is recommended; don't forget a hat and a water bottle if it's a particularly hot day.
