Two photographers face to face: different identities and visions as sources of new inspiration

CUNEO – On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 9:00 PM, the Multipurpose Hall of the CDT (Territorial Documentation Center) at Largo Barale 1 in Cuneo will host the Lectio Magistralis entitled "Two Photographers Compared – Different Identities and Visions as Sources of New Inspirations," presented by the CuneoFotografia Social Promotion Association under the patronage of the City of Cuneo.
The event will feature two illustrious names in the photography scene: Ivana Sunjic and Franco Bussolino. Far from the traditional format of an academic lecture or a simple screening, the evening is intended as an open dialogue between two friends and professionals who express themselves and their way of interpreting the world through their lenses.
The meeting will explore the common ground where their two different artistic paths intersect, highlighting how different sensibilities and languages can become a source of mutual inspiration.
The three pillars of the evening

Comparison: an analysis of how the same reality can be read and expressed through distinct sensibilities, transforming photographic technique into a truly personal language.
Beauty and Humanity: a celebration of photography understood not only as aesthetics, but as a profound narrative of the human essence and the poetry hidden in the everyday.
Sharing the "How": a moment of openness to the behind-the-scenes creative process and practical choices, offering useful insights and concrete tools to all participants, regardless of their experience level.
The Protagonists
Ivana Sunjic: Photographer and teacher, she makes light, essence, and research by subtraction the cornerstones of her aesthetic and narrative research. A former assistant to masters such as Steve McCurry and Alex Webb, she boasts important awards including the 1st World Portrait Prize at The Independent Photographer 2024, the 2013 Nikon Award, and the QEP (Qualified European Photographer) qualification. She is the author of bestselling books, founder of photographic masterclasses, and the IO FOTOGRAFO method.
Franco Bussolino: Active in photography since 1983 and a FIAF member since 1984, he has been honing his research for years, focusing on the urban environment, where architecture and human presence merge in a rigorous geometric dialogue. Co-founder in 1995 of the IL TERZO OCCHIO photography group, he has numerous solo exhibitions and important publications to his credit (including Torino anche mia, Luci d'Artista and Riflessivi sguardi).
