Transcontinental Race finisher. Christian Chesta talks about it

On Friday, October 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the Open Baladin in Cuneo (Piazza Foro Boario) will host the talk "Finisher at the Transcontinental Race. Christian Chesta tells the story," organized by the Cuneo Bike Festival with the support of the Piedmont Regional Council.

Christian Chesta, a thirty-year-old from Borgo San Dalmazzo, a mechanical designer at Cometto and a cycling enthusiast, will retrace his adventure at the Transcontinental Race, Europe's most prestigious ultracycling competition. Starting from Santiago de Compostela, Spain, at 8:00 PM on July 27, Chesta reached the finish line in Constanta, Romania, on the shores of the Black Sea, in 429 hours and 16 minutes, finishing 130th. Some additional stats: 5,014 kilometers cycled, 56,600 meters of elevation gain, and eight countries crossed—Spain, France, Italy, Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania.

In conversation with Giorgio Emanuel from Cuneo, with whom he shared some moments of the competition—Emanuel withdrew at the third Control Point, the one on the Strada dell'Assietta—Chesta will recount how he prepared for and experienced the Transcontinental Race—from gear to meals, from planning the route to the many encounters, not to mention the most difficult moments and how he overcame them.
