TOM NEWTON
Tom Newton was born in Cuneo in 1993. Beyond distant coincidences, being a Newton proved important from the start. Tom discovered music through play, thanks to his father Kit, a British bluesman, and his brother Ben. While learning to walk, he also began to play and sing. A small aluminum sandwich proved particularly congenial to him: the harmonica. Tom developed an instinctive familiarity with the instrument and, still a child, conquered the first stages with the "Pacific Blues Band," which later became "The Newton Family." Considered one of the best Italian harmonica players of the new generation, he is gripped by an unstoppable urge to explore, both as a songwriter and as a musician. Reggae, blues, soul, folk, funk, electronic music, rap... Thomas Newton seems to have fallen into the magic pot of music as a child, but perhaps it's more accurate to say that Tom is the potion itself, where genres, tastes, and feelings intertwine: constantly boiling, pressurized, ready to explode.
