The Book Club Cuneo

On Friday, February 28, the Civic Library will host a new meeting of “The Book Club Cuneo.”.

This month we'll focus on Drive Your Plow Over the Bonesof the Dead by 2018 Nobel Prize Winner in Literature Olga Tokarczuk.

Janina Duszejko lives in a remote village in the Polish countryside. She's a strong, eccentric woman in her sixties, passionate about astrology, and tends to her neighbors' properties during the long, harsh winters. One member at a time, the local hunting club is found murdered under mysterious circumstances, and Janina finds herself drawn into the investigation. What follows is a "WHO THE HELL WAS THIS?!" unlike any other! Along with a series of thought-provoking questions about society and our relationship with the natural world.

The Book Club is a welcoming space for stimulating discussions, where we share ideas and reflections inspired by the chosen work. Disclaimer: You don't have to finish the book to participate!
