Sonnet of Samsara is a visually powerful performance that fuses Indian movement traditions with contemporary dance, exploring themes of transformation, the climate crisis, and personal evolution. Through music, poetic texts, and evocative images, it offers a moving reflection on the cyclical nature of life and human resilience.
Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts is India's leading contemporary dance organization, based in Bangalore. Established for 25 years, it fuses Indian physical traditions with digital and contemporary art practices. It organizes South Asia's leading contemporary dance biennial and promotes pioneering initiatives in education, research, archives, and transdisciplinary collaboration.
Jayachandran Palazhy is an avant-garde Indian choreographer, dancer, and educator whose work blends tradition and technology. Trained in contemporary dance, Bharatanatyam, Kalaripayattu, ballet, and martial arts, he is the founder and artistic director of Attakkalari. His creations, characterized by an immersive aesthetic and a strong socio-political relevance, have been presented at the most important international festivals around the world.
