“The Three Medals”
A theatrical experiment combining art, history, and music on the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation.
On the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation, Le Tre Medaglie (The Three Medals) comes to life, a theatrical performance that combines art, memory, and music to pay homage to the work of the great sculptor Umberto Mastroianni and the sacrifice of the three cities awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor: Alba, Boves, and Cuneo.
Through an innovative staging, "The Three Medals" recounts the genesis and significance of the Monument to the Resistance in Cuneo, one of Mastroianni's most impressive and symbolically significant works, located in the Parco della Resistenza. The narrative intertwines art and the history of the Resistance, offering audiences an engaging and emotionally impactful experience. The show features three extraordinary professionals:
• Paolo Tibaldi, a talented actor who recently achieved great success as the male lead in the film Onde di Terra.
• Silvana Cincotti, a highly erudite art historian and passionate communicator, will guide the audience through Mastroianni's poetics and the meaning of his monument.
• Simona Colonna, a multi-instrumentalist of great sensitivity, will accompany the show with original melodies capable of amplifying the expressive power of the narrative.
The show is organized by the Order of the Knights of the Langhe – APS and the Insieme Association of Cuneo, in collaboration with: ACLI Cuneese APS, Corso Torino 18, Studio Leonardo and AISPA.
Saturday, April 26, at 8:30 PM – Sala San Giovanni, Via Roma 4
