Manzoni in comics
The volume Manzoni a fumetti (Manzoni in Comics), edited by Giuseppe Noto (Professor of Romance Philology and Linguistics at the Department of Humanities at the University of Turin) and Manuela Roccia (primary school teacher and doctoral student at the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences at the University of Turin), offers an innovative analysis of The Betrothed, integrating literature, linguistics, and comics.
Published by Loescher, the book is part of the prestigious Quaderni della Ricerca. The work explores new teaching methodologies through theoretical contributions and experimental educational applications, illustrating the interaction between verbal and visual languages for a richer understanding of Manzoni's masterpiece. Furthermore, the text documents classroom activities and analyzes their results, demonstrating the effectiveness of the interdisciplinary approach.
The book will be presented on June 5th at the Cuneo Civic Library, a technical yet pleasantly informative event. In addition to the editors, three of the book's authors will also be present: Lorenzo Barberis, Alessandro Giordanetto (IISS “Vallauri” – Fossano), and Mariano Somà (IISS “Cigna-Baruffi-Garelli” – Mondovì).
