"Can I play too? The wonders of growing and learning."
"Can I Play Too? The Wonders of Growing Up and Learning?" The "Farci Comunità Educante" series of meetings promoted by the Municipality of Cuneo and curated by NOAU officina culturale, aimed at parents, educators, teachers, and adults responsible for children aged 0-6, continues. After the initial spring meetings, the series returns with a new in-depth session dedicated to the value of play as a tool for building relationships, shared discovery, and the importance of play experiences at home and outdoors.
On Friday, October 2nd, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm , the ESSECI cultural center in Cuneo will host the next meeting of the "Farci Comunità Educante" series, entitled "Can I Play Too? The Wonders of Growing Up and Learning," featuring play educator Antonio Di Pietro.
Antonio Di Pietro collaborates with several Italian universities, the "Network of Public Schools Practicing Outdoor Education," and Lungi (Free University of Play). He is the president of CEMEA (Active Education Methods Practice Centers) in Tuscany and a member of the international research group "Jeux et Pratiques Ludiques." He provides experiential training, mentoring on educational and didactic projects, and meetings with parents. He is the author of several publications on play and play-based teaching, including " Giocare con niente " (Junior), "Faccemo scuola all'aperto" (Erickson), and "Giardini giocosi" (Playing with Nothing ) .
The meeting will address some key aspects of the early childhood development experience, focusing on the value of play as an extraordinary tool for connection, discovery, and emotional expression. Through an accessible and engaging analysis, the evening will offer a deeper look at the play dynamics that characterize the daily lives of young children, exploring ideas and practical activities that can be experimented both at home and in outdoor and natural spaces.
The discussion will offer concrete tools, reflections, and new insights for parents, educators, and teachers who wish to cultivate the pleasure of being together. It will be a valuable opportunity to rediscover the value of shared time and to gain awareness of how to support children on their developmental journey, transforming daily playtime into genuine opportunities for connection and meaningful learning.
