“Everything is out of control” – Simone Carta
The third installment of the POETICÔNI Festival's OFF series is coming soon. A series of events dedicated to poetry, verse, reflection, and performance.
On Saturday, May 24th, the completely uncontrolled poetry of Simone Carta, a Turin-born author capable of transforming readings into truly engaging performances, will arrive in Cuneo. His ironic wit will inspire audiences to reflect and participate in a moment of social interaction and sharing.
See you at 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 24th, guests of Famù nel Parco (Viale Angeli, 25 – Cuneo).
Simone Carta, in conversation with Donatella Signetti and Riccardo Mey, will present and perform his latest book, entitled “Ho tutto fuori controllo” (Bookers ed.), which was released last April.
“I wondered
how many times
you can break a heart
before it stops making noise.”
For Simone, poetry is an art form that finds its pinnacle through performance: reading aloud, therefore, seeks to transform readings into moments of social interaction with ironic and reflective insights.
In "Ho tutto fuori controllo," love slips out of the house as silently as a cat, leaving behind half-open doors and small traces of daily neglect. Simone Carta recounts feelings that resemble a forgotten shopping list, loves that unfold in cold apartments, uncomfortable beds, and half-said sentences. His poems are snapshots taken in the wrong light: raw, ironic, and profoundly real.
Free admission, reservations are recommended (by 4:00 PM on May 24, 2025) on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.it/e/1354800096559?aff=oddtdtcreator
