Grand Tour in Italy – multimedia concert
A musical journey through Italy's most iconic cities, featuring arias by great composers.
CUNEO – The "LIVE APS, dal vivo è meglio" association is pleased to present "GRAND TOUR IN ITALIA," an unmissable concert part of the "Melodie Dipinte" series. The event, which combines great opera with the wonders of our country in a unique and exciting journey, will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 9:00 PM at the Sala San Giovanni in Cuneo. Admission is free.
The show offers spectators an experience conceived as an organized tourist journey to discover Italy's most iconic cities. The exceptional guides on this itinerary will be protagonists of operas by great maestros such as Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, and Mascagni, who will lead the audience to the evocative locations that served as the backdrop to their stories. Unlike typical tourists who return home with photos and souvenirs, concertgoers will return with their ears full of music and their eyes filled with images.
The musical journey will cross Italy from north to south. It will begin in Venice with the atmosphere of La Gioconda , then move to the Mantua of Rigoletto and the Ferrara of Lucrezia Borgia. The journey will continue in Tuscany, passing through the places that inspired Suor Angelica and the Florence of Gianni Schicchi, before descending into the Rome of Tosca and Don Pasquale. The itinerary will finally touch on the Naples of Così fan tutte , concluding in the Sicilian village of Cavalleria Rusticana.
Giving voice and life to these famous arias will be a talented cast: sopranos Serena Garelli and Daniela Quaglia, and tenor Salvatore Romei, accompanied on piano by Pinny Gaggero. The key role of "Tour Guide" and narrator of the evening will be entrusted to Francesco Speranza.
The event is organized under the patronage of the City of Cuneo and in collaboration with the CRC Foundation and IGS Automazione.
