Electroclass 2026

From Thursday, July 2nd to Saturday, July 4th, the electroacoustic harp returns to Cuneo with the concerts of the fourth edition of ElettroClass, featuring performances by Remy Van Kesteren, Sophye Soliveau, and Vanja Contu. The three evenings, starting at 9:00 pm, will take place in two different venues in Cuneo—the Sala San Giovanni, at Via Roma 4, and the beautiful outdoor location of Confindustria Cuneo's Parco Amilcare Merlo, at Via Bersezio 9. As in previous years, they will contribute to creating a festival throughout the city. Participation is free, and no reservations are required.

ElettroClass is the world's first event entirely dedicated to the electronic and electroacoustic harp. It is organized by Salvi Harps, the world's leading harp manufacturer based in Piasco, a few dozen kilometers from Cuneo, in collaboration with the Ghedini Conservatory and its Department of Electronic Music and Sound Engineers (METS), and with the patronage of the City of Cuneo, the Province of Cuneo, and Confindustria Cuneo. The concerts are staged with the technical assistance of METS students.

• Remy van Kesteren will perform on Thursday, July 2nd , returning to ElettroClass for the third year. Described as a "brilliant harpist" by the New York Times, he will perform a concert in Cuneo's Sala San Giovanni, focusing primarily on his latest album, "Leave What You Know," released in 2025. This work spans pop, electronic, alternative, classical, and avant-garde music.
• On Friday, July 3, French composer, singer, and harpist of Guadeloupean origins Sophye Soliveau will bring her first concert to ElettroClass, featuring both harp and voice. She will perform improvisations and songs from her debut album, Initiation, at Confindustria Cuneo's Parco Amilcare Merlo: a vibrant celebration of contemporary R&B in which voice and harp blend together in an intimate and refined sonic universe.
• On Saturday 4 July Vanja Contu returns to perform for ElettroClass , having taken part in all the editions of the festival so far: in the Sala San Giovanni, the harpist presents a musical programme characterised by experimentation, ranging from world premieres by young composers from the METS Department of the Conservatory to covers and pieces composed by the performer herself.

Audiences at the three-day concert in Cuneo will also be treated to a sound installation, both in the Sala San Giovanni and in the Confindustria Cuneo garden, entirely based on the sounds of Salvi electric and electroacoustic harps. The installation was specially created by METS composition students Francesco Petruzzi and Igor Sciavolino, with the collaboration of Vanja Contu and the supervision of Professor Gianluca Verlingieri.
