The comedy Delirio a due by Eugène Ionesco is represented in Italy by the D'Arborio Agency – Rome
Delirio a due is a small masterpiece of the Theatre of the Absurd, an irresistible theatrical joke typical of the best Ionesco, where the comic and mocking framework and the verbal tightrope walking nevertheless reveal a society drowning in daily tragedy and the disconcerting gratuitousness of behavior, and where language, rather than being a tool of communication, is an obstacle that distances and divides. The comedy is dominated by paradox and the grotesque, and the perennial, futile, incessant quarrel between Him and Her, ridiculous human puppets trapped in the web of a bored and repetitive family ménage.
