Cuneo Organ Festival
The 38th edition of the Cuneo Organ Festival is underway, presented by Itinerari in Musica under the artistic direction of Luca Benedicti, with the support of the Municipality and the CRC and CRT Foundations.
On September 29th, as per tradition on the occasion of the Feast of the Patron Saint of Cuneo, San Michele Arcangelo, the Swiss Vincent Thévenaz will open the festival at 9 pm at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Bosco in Via Roma, 64 with “From Sturm und Drang to Jugendstil”.
On Saturday, October 3rd, at 9 pm, at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Corso Nizza, Elisa Teglia will be on stage with “Between Liberty and Art Nouveau in Italy and France”.
On Saturday, October 10, at 9 pm, again at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ulfert Smidt will lead the audience on a journey through “Jugendstil and Art Nouveau in Germany and France” for the benefit concert in collaboration with the Santa Croce Hospital Foundation in Cuneo.
On Saturday 17 October, at 9 pm, again at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Englishman Jack Oades presents a repertoire “From German Baroque to Glasgow Style”.
"Organi…zziamo la Città" returns on Friday, October 23rd. This immersive and stimulating event allows students and the public to explore and discover the complex mechanisms that characterize the "king of instruments." In collaboration with the "GF Ghedini" Conservatory and the Diocesan Institute of Sacred Music, and with the participation of the "E. Bianchi" Music High School, the "Viale Angeli" State Comprehensive Institute, and Unitre.
On Saturday, October 24, at 9 pm, at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Bosco, Via Roma, 64, Letizia Romiti will be the protagonist of the evening “Romanticism and Late Romanticism between Germany and France”.
A planning and operational partnership between the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cuneo and the Itinerari in Musica Association began in 2023. The Organalia Cultural Association participates as a co-producing partner.
They are joined by the Piedmont Region, the Piedmont Regional Council, the City of Cuneo, the Cuneo Hospital Foundation Onlus and the artistic partners: Ghedini Conservatory, the Diocesan Institute of Sacred Music “Gianfranco Agamenone”, the E. Bianchi – Virginio Music High School, the Viale Angeli Comprehensive Institute and La Route Royale des Orgues.
