CULTURE WITHIN CURRENT EVENTS

Appointment at the 2026 Festival of Common Places "Culture with a capital C" – www.festivaldeiluoghicomuni.it

With Marina Lalovic and Veronica Fernandes, journalists from the Foreign Affairs desk of RaiNews24

Being of foreign origin and working in Italian contexts, what impact does journalistic diversity have on the information system, and to what extent?
Diversity as an added value, but also as an aspect that isn't always easy for those who watch us on TV or listen to us on the radio to accept. A diverse cultural context is a strength for journalists, but often also a barrier that's difficult to break.

From ongoing wars to Cuba and the Balkans, Rainews24 correspondents Veronica Fernandes and Marina Lalovic share the meaning and behind-the-scenes details of their field missions, starting with their personal stories. They offer a divergent perspective from those who, even today, find their diversity to be their greatest strength.
