Cultivating trust between art and color
On Tuesday, September 22nd, at 6:00 PM, the San Francesco Monumental Complex hosts a meeting with Monsignor Derio Olivero and Maura Anfossi. Moderator: Massimiliano Cavallo, editor of La Guida.
A dialogue between art, color, the emotional dimension, and spirituality to explore the meaning of trust and the relationship with one's inner self. This is the underlying theme of "Cultivating Trust Through Art and Color," a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:00 PM at the Complesso Monumentale di San Francesco. Speakers include Monsignor Derio Olivero, Bishop of Pinerolo, and Maura Anfossi, psychotherapist and journalist, head of the psychology department at Santa Croce Hospital. Moderating the event will be Massimiliano Cavallo, editor of the weekly magazine "La Guida."
The conversation will focus on color as a tool for inner exploration, a universal and immediate language that fosters connection with emotions and helps us question our relationships with others and the deepest questions of existence. Art and color will thus be presented as keys to a personal and spiritual dimension, in a journey that invites us to rediscover what is essential, cultivate a more open and trusting view of ourselves and others, and restore space for gratitude and wonder.
The conversation will draw inspiration from the two protagonists' books: "Grati e fiduciosi: imparare la fiducia con l'arte" by Derio Olivero and "Emozioni a colori: breve guida per ritrovare il sé autentico" by Maura Anfossi. Through the authors' different yet complementary perspectives, the meeting will connect the artistic, psychological, and spiritual dimensions, offering the audience an opportunity to discuss emotions and the ever-present need to rediscover an authentic connection with one's inner self.
The meeting takes place during the exhibition "Sacrum," dedicated to the theme of the sacred and its anthropological and existential dimensions. The exhibition offers the ideal context for a reflection that, starting from art, opens up to the big questions surrounding human experience, meaning, relationships, and inner exploration.
The event also previews the third edition of the festival "Il territorio si racconta," promoted by the weekly magazine "La Guida," the Diocesan Foundation, and other local cultural organizations. A journey that focuses on culture as a tool for dialogue, understanding, and valorizing local experiences and identities.
"Cultivating Trust Between Art and Color" aims to be an open and accessible meeting place, aimed not only at art enthusiasts but also at anyone who feels the need to pause and reflect on their emotions and the questions of meaning that accompany everyday life.
The meeting is free and open to all.
