An unconventional production featuring a single actor interacting with seven puppets. The show, faithful to Eduardo's text, evokes the events of the Cupiello family, opening a window into the imagination and memory of every viewer. The setting is a large nativity scene, where the actor and the animated figures, which he himself manipulates, move around.
"The nativity scene is the horizon within which the entire work moves, both in a real and metaphorical sense. The nativity scene is the element necessary for Luca Cupiello to hope for a renewed and conflict-free humanity, but it is also the representation of birth and death, it is the time of the transition from the old to the new, it is the blend of past and present, it is a consolidated iconography and at the same time it is constantly to be deconstructed."
